The Wickman Corporation Announces Vitrified Wheels for Insert Grinding
The
Wickman Corporation, a pioneer in the development of superabrasive grinding
wheels and hones, has announced the development of its next generation vitrified
bond diamond face grinding wheels.
These new finishing wheels are targeted for manufacturers of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tools, polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) tools, and carbide tools.
"Our proprietary vitrified bond formulation provides these wheels with free cutting action and long life, says Wickman Corporation president Ben Stormes. "In addition, new manufacturing methods have allowed us to improve the quality of the wheels, yet lower the price."
The new wheels are available in various grits and geometry's. They're capable of operation on a wide selection of grinding machines including EWAG, Wit-O-Matic and Coborn.
